Growing Home 14-week paid job training program in Englewood in urban farming, environmental literacy, and work readiness
Growing Home is a paid 14-week training program that builds skills for job readiness and success through classroom instruction and on-the-job training. Based on an urban farm in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood, Growing Home combines time spent working on the on-site urban farm, with lessons on work readiness and environmental literacy, an emotional resilience curriculum, and ongoing support for career success post-graduation. Additionally, program participants will have opportunities to earn professional certifications, access to free legal consultation for record sealing and expungement, and receive the support of a case manager available to provide referrals for supportive services.
To Qualify, you must:
be age 18 or older
be a Chicago resident
be currently unemployed
have basic reading skills

Interested individuals must attend an information session to apply. You can call and sign up for an information session at 773-434-7144 ext.3 or by visiting our website at www.growinghomeinc.org/job-training/ and completing an inquiry form on the opportunities page. Walk-ins are also welcome, but MUST arrive by 10 AM.
