Children's Home + Aid is gearing up for a great summer as part of the City's One Summer Chicago! Through these two programs we will employ over 150 youth and young adults:
1. Greencorps - Eight week program for high school youth where they will learn about horticulture/gardening and also learn how to repair bicycles. Mentors should have interest in gardening and bike riding. Mentors are paid $20 per hour for 25 hours per week
2. OSC+ - Nine week program for youth ages 16-19 currently or previously juvenile justice involved. Mentors for OSC+ are paid $20 per hour for 32 hours per week.
Both programs will require strong mentors with experience in addition to knowledge of the Englewood community. Mentors are to be ages 24 and older and background checks will be required. If you are interested or would like to receive more information please contact Jimi Orange at jorange@childrenshomeandaid.org or 773-918-8669.
