Employee volunteers from ComEd partnered with Friends of the Parks to commemorate National Volunteer Week with an environmental service project at Hamilton Park, located in the Englewood neighborhood. The volunteers picked up litter, mulched trees and flower beds, and provided much-needed springtime care to the grounds.
This employee volunteer event is part of ComEd’s company-wide observance of National Volunteer Week (April 6-12) and National Volunteer Month (April), an annual nationwide celebration of people working to improve their communities through service.
The event is one of more than 30 community service projects ComEd employees, and employees from its parent company Exelon, are leading in celebration of National Volunteer Week and National Volunteer Month. ComEd’s National Volunteer Week projects are focused on employee-led community service projects in support of education, environment, diversity and inclusion, and neighborhood development in the communities where ComEd employees work and live.
