Southside Radio Ministry Interviews Kwanzaa's Dr. Maulana Karenga

SOUTHSIDE DRUM MAJORS FOR JUSTICE, the emerging media ministry of Reformation Lutheran Church-Chicago, continues rolling out its new global internet radio-thon weekly on Friday, February 28, 1-2 PM, (CST), via the website platform of Southside Chicago-based www.globalnewsforum.com.
According to the new internet radio-thon host, Rev. Joel Washington (Khunanpu Sangoma), Reformation's Lead Pastor, concerned Englewood community activist, and pastoral care resident of Bethel Terrace Co-op Senior Apartments, "the Southside Drum Majors for Justce radio ministry and fund-raising appeal series will feature Black community clergy and labor activists interviewing concerned leaders about current and ongoing critical issues on the one hand while building moral, active, and financial support for expanding Reformation's important outreach ministries on the other."
The February 28th Southside Drum Majors for Justice continuing launch radio-thon series features Seba (Moral Teacher) Dr. Maulana Karenga, Professor and Chair of Africana Studies at California State University-Long Beach, the Creator of the Pan-African Holiday Kwanzaa and the Nguzo Saba, as well as the author of over a dozen books, and numerous scholarly and popular articles.
"Dr. Karenga will speak on his recent Los Angeles Sentinel column 'Walking With Woodson in History: Seeking Truth, Justice, And Transformation (02-06-14)'" says Deacon Marsha Cherry, Southside Drum Majors for Justice Producer. "Dr. Karenga will also comment on his other recent Sentinel contribution 'Black History: Its Meaning, Message, & Forward Motion (02-13-14)'" Deacon Cherry added.
