Greater Englewood CDC Hires Its First Executive Director
Chicago - The Greater Englewood Community Development Corporation’s (Greater Englewod CDC) board of directors has hired its first executive director, Eric B. McLoyd. McLoyd is a founding member of the organization who says he is passionate about improving the current economic conditions in the community.
“I am very excited to be serving Greater Englewood and during my first one hundred days as Executive Director we will continue developing our Community Asset Report, roll out Growth 180 our business and workforce development unit and secure additional community investments through our Invest In Englewood campaign.”
McLoyd holds a master’s degree in business administration with a specialization in finance. His prior experience include positions as an executive director, real estate lobbyist, senior real estate paralegal and small business consultant. McLoyd is currently an Executive Scholar candidate at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He plans to combine his experiences at the Greater Englewood CDC in such a way as to maintain solid and transparent organizational infrastructure as well as efficiency in all capacities. McLoyd has also played a leading role in the establishment of several other impactful companies and organizations including, The Giving Tree Educational Consultants and Planet W.U.N.
Cherice Price has taken over McLoyd’s old post as the president of the board of directors. “McLoyd’s education and professional background united with his sincere desire to transform the community makes him a great fit to lead the organization in rebuilding, rebranding and revitalizing Greater Englewood,” says Price.
