IRON LADIES OF LIBERIA" Film Showing at Kennedy-King Media Advisory
For Immediate ReleaseTeamwork Englewood Education Task Force (TEET) and its This Far By Faith On Campus initiative (THIS FAR) will honor Black Women's history with a special Kennedy-King College film presentation of "IRON LADIES OF LIBERIA" "IRON LADIES" is the critically acclaimed documentary film on the first administration of Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the first Black woman head of state of a modern African nation and a 2011 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate.The special film showing of "IRON LADIES", along with a Q & A discussion, and a Pizza & Pop reception, will occur on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Kennedy-King College Y Building (63rd & S. Halsted) in Room Y-101 from 2PM to 4:30PM. The film screening also includes a 2012 Englewood Legends Awards presentation to the Kennedy-King Women's Basketball Team and representatives of Women Homecare Workers of Englewood.
