With a year of data and experience under its belt, the Nonprofit Utopia community is poised to go to the next level of its development. In so doing, the community is surveying its members and stakeholders to create better value for the nonprofit sector. Nonprofit Utopia is is asking nonprofit stakeholders to complete a survey to get a sense for what a typical work day is like; their aspirations and challenges. The results will be kept confidential. Respondents will get free admission to an upcoming paid webinar of their choice and a chance to win a $50.00 Amazon gift card.
The mission of the Nonprofit Utopia community is to develop the next generation of ethical nonprofit leaders. The community provides ongoing professional development and networking opportunities in which experienced nonprofit professionals can share expertise with the next generation of ethical leaders. This includes emerging leaders coaching, online courses, webinars, special events, newsletters and online community. Nonprofit Utopia officially launched in June, 2018. Nonprofit Utopia was founded by Valerie F. Leonard, an expert in community and organizational development. Leonard has assisted over 500 professionals meet professional goals through consulting, coaching, proposal writing, technical assistance and podcasting. She has written proposals and provided technical assistance resulting in over $100 million in federal and foundation funding. She teaches courses in nonprofit management for the UIC Certificate in Nonprofit Management; and courses in new ventures with Roosevelt University's Heller College of Business. Leonard has a bachelor of science degree in economics from Spelman College and a master of management degree in finance and marketing from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
