Roll N Peace- Da Remix
Published: September 13, 2018
On July 13th Think Outside Da Block partnered with the EQLP (Englewood Quality of Life Plan) Public Safety Task Force and the CPD 007th District CAPS to organize our first night bike ride, Roll N Peace. Overall, the event was amazing. More than 200 people between the ages of 7 and 70 met up at 8pm in the heart of Englewood. We owned the night as we enjoyed a nice and peaceful night bike ride throughout the Greater Englewood community; a place where many would say an event to this magnitude is impossible. We Rolled N Peace as we stopped by and paid tribute to all four of the neighborhood high schools scheduled to close soon. After the ride I received feedback from community partners and residents expressing an interest and anticipation for another great bike ride.
As the founder of Think Outsdie Da Block, and a member of the EQLP Public Safety Task Force, I am pleased to inform you that Friday, September 14th, Think Outside Da Block will once again partner with the EQLP Public Safety Task Force and the CPD 007th District CAPS for our 2nd night bike ride through Englewood, Roll N Peace- Da Remix. The roll off will take place at 8pm from 63rd and Ashland (parking lot next to the CTA Green Line). The greater Englewood community is in for a night of excitement as we all take to the streets promoting peace. We plan to light up the neighborhood once again as residents and community partners Roll N Peace through Greater Englewood for a second time with our bikes dressed in lights. This event will include healthy snacks, healthy lifestyle tips and other forms of entertainment.
