Published: October 10, 2016
The Montessori School of Englewood is now a Level 1 rating on a five point scale ranging from 1+, 1, 2+, 2, 3. A Level 1 rating signifies "high performance, a good school choice with many positive qualities," including admirable academic growth and attainment from a diverse student body, as well as attendance and the quality of our school's student data recordkeeping.
What Does the Data tells us?
Digging Into The Data
MSEs Reading program was a standout from this report - our students' overall growth over the last year on the NWEA MAP Reading test was better than 97% of schools nationally and our students overall growth on the NWEA MAP math test was better than 89% nationally.
This is a test that does not address the development of the whole child which is critical to our mission. However, we know we are growing our childrens' heads, hearts and hands to lead lives of growth and fulfillment.
On another note, please find a beautiful feature about the work being done at MSE in The Field Foundations Biannual report.
Please continue supporting our school by donating
here and by joining us at the Big Delicious Planet on October 20th for our second annual fundraising event (tickets sold
here).
