MoneyL.Y.F.E.(Leading Youth in Financial Education) is hosting bank fairs on April 13th and April 14th where Englewood residents can come in and learn about managing their finances and create a bank account. The mission of MoneyL.Y.F.E. is to educate the community about the benefits of opening checking accounts as opposed to using currency exchanges by hosting bank fairs, how to manage their money(need vs want), college loans, etc. and by going to schools to teach students.
There will be a bank fair at Earle Elementary(2040 W. 62nd Street) on April 13th, and there will be another bank fair at Lindblom Math and Science Academy(6130 S. Wolcott Ave.) on April 14th. These bank fairs will be from 12pm to 5pm. Residents are encouraged to come in and bring their Currency Exchange receipts from this year for cashing in checks; there will be a money giveaway for fees up to 10 dollars. Food will be provided along with t-shirts while supplies last. Banks that will be at the fairs are: Marquette Bank, Chase Bank, and US Bank.
