If you consider yourself a somebody or relative “In The Know” of what’s happening in your town, Chicago that is, then you were in attendance at the Say Yes To Fashion Fair Party on October 30th. Gals who either had some dealings in PR, Journalism, Entertainment, or simply lucked up on an invite, enjoyed a fabulous night of cocktails, cool convo’s, fun, music by DJ Kiss and makeovers Fashion Fair style!
Dig if you will the picture: The sexy posh Pump Room full of gorgeous powerful African American women all ages; Apparent dress code: sexy black leather, lace, fitted black silk pants suits and even leather mini skirts which was worn by Ms. DJ Kiss! In rotation: Ladies in and out of the make-up chairs waiting to get a “beat face” by industry finest make-up artists. Appeal: The beats by the fabulous DJ Kiss had all the ladies racing in their stilettos to the dance floor–followed by the viewing of the short film Say Yes by filmmaker Ava DuVernay.
Just being in the room and feeling the vibe of these movers and shakers, this social media guru/multimedia journalist by day and self-proclaimed health nut couldn’t whip out her business cards fast enough. Instead, I enjoyed the scene, the moment and the opportunity to get a “beat face” by the talented Tia Dantizler and newly named Creative Director of Fashion Fair Cosmetics.
