This is a FREE event for the family where food and entertainment will be provided.
Every May 25th, is African Liberation Day, a day when we honor the memory of the righteous ancestors whose struggle helped us to get where we are today.
This year we add to this legacy by asking for a Call of Diaspora Unity. A rekindling of the family. An opportunity for people of African Descent to meet other people of African descent who come from the continent and across the African Diaspora. It is a time to leave our comfort zones, misconceptions about each other and come together to dispel myth and stereotypes.
A time for UNITY, so that we can begin to address our common enemy of poverty, miseducation and lack of economics in our community.
So this year we add a Meet and Greet, a call for us to come out and meet people we would not normally meet, and get to see the beauty of the African Diaspora- its people in all of their manifestations. We encourage you to meet at least 3 people and share yourself with them. Begin a friendship. Talk and realize how much we are alike. We are one family.
We will have Master Drummers leading us in the music and food. We encourage you to dance and enjoy yourself and celebrate our coming together.
Look forward to seeing you there.
