AARP Experience Corp is a nationally recognized program where older adults over fifty years old volunteer as tutors/mentors in public schools in Kindergarten, first, second and third grade classrooms. Experience Corps is starting in Chicago Public Schools in Englewood beginning in October 2013. Experience Corps wants to talk with high school graduates who read well and would be willing be part of a team of older adult volunteers working in an Englewood School next year. This is an opportunity to find out more and explore if you want to spend four hours a week building a relationship with children and helping them to succeed in school. Experience Corps volunteers receive training and support as they change the lives of children and the community. Please join us.. For more information, call Gerald Kellman, 847-612-6531.
