Objectives:
Familiarize participants with the complications associated with the seasonal flu
and pneumococcal (pneumonia) diseases and the effectiveness of the seasonal flu and
pneumococcal vaccines
Educate faith and community leaders and their members on the importance of adult
immunizations
Discuss partnering efforts between public health, community organizations and faith-based organizations to increase immunization rates in the community
