Peace fellow community activist,
I had the pleasure of attending the 15th/16th Ward Political forum @ the 7th Dist. Staion (community room) and was impressed with the forum structure and the flow of the event.I would however like to offer a critique to perhaps engage the incumbents and candidates into covering more critical topics of concern in the limited time available. The areas of health, homelessness, senior citizens, housing, quality education, economic development, crime and safety, youth development and employment can all be addressed if the same questions are not directed to each candidate, mix it up. Their answers sometimes become redundant when they listen to eachothers responses, residents feel an air of uncertainty whether all candidates have a full understanding and grasp of the issues presented and are prepared to represent the Ward .
From my observation position I thought more issues could have been presented giving candidates a mix of questions. Overall, kudos to the entire R.A.G.E Organization for your vision and a job well done.
