Please Join the Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN), the Nutrition and Kinesiology Department, and the Chicago Partnership for Health Promotion (CPHP) at the University of Illinois (UIC) for the Food For Life Forum.
The Food For Life Forum brings together key stakeholders from accross the city to address food and racial justice as they intersect the corner store. We will review the current context around healthy food access, and the racial dynamics in the inner-city, analyze various barriers and challenges to solving these issues, hear about some of the work being done at the grass roots level to address the issues, and will work towards developing a city wide model of intervention.
