15th Ward residents and those throughout Chicago are encouraged to attend a job training registration event hosted by 15th Ward Committeeman Raymond Lopez in conjunction with the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Chicago's Community Kitchens will be onsite at three (3) 15th Ward locations to register applicants.

AM I ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE?
To be admitted to the program applicants must:
- Want a job
- Have a positive, can-do attitude
- Be available Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the 14 weeks of the program
- Be either unemployed or underemployed
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Have a high-school diploma or G.E.D.
- Be drug free and able to pass a drug test
- Have a valid Government I.D.
- Be a resident of Cook County
- Be able to withstand a physical work environment

Students receive:
-Hands-on experience in a state-of- the-art industrial kitchen
-Employment and life skills classes
-ServSafe® sanitation course
-Transportation assistance
-Professional resume and letter of recommendation
-Two-week unpaid internship in a commercial kitchen
-Job placement assistance
-Breakfast and lunch for the duration of the training period
